Two Oh Two. A.M.
Love/Fear No. 100
Every poem in Hearts on the Line stems from an anonymous person graciously answering two questions: “What is my greatest love?” and “What is my greatest fear?” The rest is just my poetry…
Life Is a Word, and Love Is a Sentence. If I fall and break, can you make me whole again? I’m lying half awake with thunder in my head. Then, flashes of my future from pitch-black thought balloons. If I’m ever split in two, can I reconnect, with you? The night is long and dark, but I am here with you. I’m boxed in by the walls, but our love will make it through. You’ve been there through the worst, which was always for the better. Whether we were blessed or cursed, it was always best together. My career path goes through fog, and I’m searching for a light. All I see are thunderbolts in this long and scary night. Am I walking to a cliff? I am falling through what-ifs, and where will my landing be, in this long and scary night? There’ll be a thump, and I’ll wake up, in pieces, next to you, my love. You’ll pick me up and give a hug and squeeze me back to what I was. Thank You to the Human Spirit…
I would be grateful if you shared your own love and fear on this link…
It’s anonymous and could lead to the next poem!

This person loved their boyfriend and friends.
Their greatest fear: “failure, my career not panning out.”
I focused on the boyfriend.
