Every poem in Hearts on the Line stems from an anonymous person graciously answering two questions: “what is my greatest love?”, and “what is my greatest fear?”. The rest is just my poetry…
Life Is a Word, and Love Is a Sentence. Sleep-sleep-sleep, my lovely Love. Sheep-sheep-sheep graze on the clouds. The night is cold, but I am here, and my love is yours to steal. Snore-snore-snore – you are asleep. So, why am I singing still? This one’s for my secret child; this one’s for the hidden I. Heal-heal-heal, under my skin. We’re alone, no need to fear. They won’t know how lost you are. We’re alone, so grow your scars. Sleep-sleep-sleep, my lovely Love, so my hidden self can cope. You mean more than you can know. Thanks-thanks-thanks for all your love. Thank You to the Human Spirit…
I would be grateful if you shared your own love and fear on this link…
It’s anonymous and could lead to the next poem!
This person gave a deep explanation of why their family was their greatest love in life.
To that, they added: “My greatest fear is everyone finding out what a total mess I truly am.”

I think our inner child is always with us in anything we do.
It can be easy to forget, especially among all the responsibilities of adult life.
We may want to be in control, but it doesn’t always work that way.
While what we may be after is control, all that inner child wants is love…

Have a great day!

Great interpretation as always, Hasse!
I think that's a common fear—but sadly it's so unnecessary. We're all total messes. Modern life has advanced far faster than our humanity and we're all just struggling to keep up. I wish more folks would give themselves more of a break.
Wonderfully rendered here, by the way; I love the economy of language in the lines and how you brought the ideas together.
